LEVC: London Taxi
LEVC (London EV Company) is a pioneering British automotive manufacturer, best known as the creator of the world-famous London black taxi — a symbol of the capital for more than a century. Headquartered at Ansty Park near Coventry, England, LEVC’s heritage dates back to 1908, when it began producing purpose-built cabs that quickly became synonymous with the streets of London.

Originally established as The London Taxi Corporation, the company was acquired in 2013 by Chinese automotive leader Geely, whose investment of more than £1 billion enabled the development of advanced electric vehicles and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. This marked the beginning of LEVC’s transformation from a traditional taxi maker into a global electric mobility brand.

At the core of this transition is the TX, the world’s most advanced electric taxi. With its innovative eCity technology, the TX offers zero-emission capability for urban driving alongside an extended range, making it both practical and sustainable. Since its launch, the TX has revolutionised urban mobility worldwide, and by 2025, more than 11,000 units had been sold across global markets.

LEVC’s vision extends far beyond taxis. The company is evolving into a leading provider of electric mobility and commercial transport solutions, applying its expertise in design, durability, and efficiency to a broader range of vehicles. Leveraging its heritage, continuous innovation, and Geely’s international reach, LEVC is well positioned to define the future of clean, intelligent, and connected urban transport.

With a clear focus on ultra-low and zero-emission solutions, LEVC is making a substantial contribution to reducing COâ‚‚ emissions and building more sustainable cities. Its mission is not only to deliver vehicles but also to reimagine urban mobility — combining practicality, environmental responsibility, and iconic design in every journey.
