Lambretta
Lambretta is one of the world’s most iconic scooter brands, embodying Italian style, engineering, and cultural influence for more than 75 years. Founded in Milan in 1947 by Ferdinando Innocenti, Lambretta was created as a practical, affordable, and stylish solution to post-war mobility needs. Its name derives from the Lambrate district of Milan and the nearby Lambro river, where the original factory was based.

From the very beginning, Lambretta stood apart for its elegant design and mechanical innovation, quickly becoming a symbol of Italian ingenuity. Alongside its great rival Vespa, Lambretta played a central role in shaping scooter culture around the world. In particular, it achieved cult status during the 1960s Mod movement in Britain, where it became a powerful emblem of youth, rebellion, and urban cool. The scooter’s distinctive look appeared in films, music, and fashion, cementing its place as a cultural icon embraced by celebrities and style leaders alike.
Lambretta’s influence was never confined to Italy. Through licensing and international production, the brand expanded into countries such as India, Spain, France, Argentina, and beyond, becoming a truly global phenomenon. For decades, Lambretta scooters were not just vehicles, but lifestyle statements.
Although Innocenti’s original production ceased in the early 1970s, the Lambretta name endured. Today, the trademark is managed by Innocenti S.A. in Switzerland, which oversees its revival and global brand strategy. The modern era began in 2017 with the launch of the acclaimed V Series, successfully blending heritage-inspired design with cutting-edge engineering. Building on this momentum, the X300 and G350 models, unveiled in 2023, mark the next chapter in Lambretta’s story — bold, technologically advanced, yet faithful to the brand’s spirit of timeless Italian design.
Modern Lambretta scooters are more than just two-wheeled transport. They represent a fusion of heritage and innovation, offering urban riders the perfect balance of style, practicality, and freedom. Whether seen gliding through the streets of Milan or celebrated on the global stage, Lambretta continues to stand as an enduring cultural icon — synonymous with Italian elegance, youth culture, and a passion for movement.
